Here too there is enough wood surrounding the exceptionally floral and exuberantly spicy nose that displays a mix of various ripe dark berries, plum, exotic tea and a whiff of soy. The rich, vibrant and velvet-textured larger-scaled flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also helps to buffer the firm, youthfully austere and impressively long finale. This also needs better depth but here too that would appear to be a matter of patience. This is also excellent.

Medium deep crimson. The nose jumps out of the glass. Some detail here, very much white pepper behind, quite savoury with some floral notes too. This is a medium-bodied Echezeaux with a liveliness that delivers a good level of excitement.
